The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification for the 21st Edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to be held on 08th February 2026. Candidates aspiring to become teachers in Central Government Schools (KVS, NVS, etc.) must qualify this exam.

The online application process is currently ACTIVE and will close on 18th December 2025. Interested candidates are advised to apply immediately.

General / OBC (NCL) ₹ 1,000/- ₹ 1,200/-
SC / ST / PwD ₹ 500/- ₹ 600/-
Payment Mode: Online (Debit/Credit/Net Banking)

2. Eligibility Criteria (As per NCTE)

  • For Paper I (Classes I to V):
    • Senior Secondary (12th) with 50% marks + Passed/Appearing in D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education).
    • OR Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed (Bachelor of Education).
  • For Paper II (Classes VI to VIII):
    • Graduation + Passed/Appearing in D.El.Ed / B.Ed.
    • OR Senior Secondary (12th) + 4-Year B.El.Ed / B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed.

3. Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Exam: Offline (Pen & Paper)
  • Total Marks: 150 Marks (150 MCQs)
  • Duration: 2.5 Hours
  • Negative Marking: No Negative Marking
