No of Vacancies: 1940 [EWS -146, OBC -510, PWD-A -12, PWD-B -5, PWD-C -23, PWD-DE- 2, SC -294 ,ST -45 ,UR -903]

Age: 18 Years to 40 Years

Age Relaxation:

1. Schedule Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) 5 years

2. Other Backward Classes (OBC) 3 years

Qualification:

(i) 10th class with passing marks in Mathematics, regional language and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) organized by any recognized Board of faculty Education by the govt. . of India/State Govt./ Union Territories in India shall be a compulsory educational qualification for all approved categories of Gramin Dak Sevaks.(Referred to in Directorate Order No 17-31/2016-GDS dated 25.06.2018).

(ii) Mandatory knowledge of regional Language The candidate should have learned the regional language at least up to 10th class [as mandatory or elective subjects] as declared by the State Govt. or as per constitutional provisions concerning the 8th schedule of Constitution of India.

(iii) Basic Computer Training The candidates for all accepted categories of GDS mentioned in (i) above are going to be got to furnish Basic Computer Training Course Certificate of a minimum of 60 days time from any Computer Training Institute run by Central Govt./State Govt. /Universities / Boards / Private Institutions Organizations. This requirement of basic computer knowledge certificate shall be relaxable in cases where a candidate has studied computer as a topic in Matriculation or class XII or the other higher educational level and in such cases, a separate certificate won't be insisted upon.
